Live & Learn are adopting the main section of the Pissoir for at least a few months, to use to design floating gardens. We are very glad to have the structure be put to a good use. So it was time to say good bye to the Pissoir as we know it. First, a moment of silence as we drain the water.
Alex explaining the Pissoir one last time Flourishing flora (and some fauna in there too) Amagoia came by! We talked about adding fish to the Pissoir. When setting up, we didn’t add any fish because of the high likelihood that they would be killed by high ammonia concentrations. One of the visitors suggested a book about Cambodian fish where we may find some tolerant species. Curious visitors.. but none volunteered to be the official last user of the Pissoir. Last minute visitors. Water hyacinth. These guys were really starting to take over. Duckweed, water lettuce.. Hyacinth and cyperus Wild cyperus and lillies were doing quite well too Slightly oversaturated picture of happy lotus. Happy lotus Disassembling miele vacuum bags shelter We had four hoses siphoning water out of the Pissoir. It took about an hour. Almost ready to go Plants taken out of the Pissoir. One of the Cyperus miele vacuum bags had doubles in size over the two weeks it was in the Pissoir. Disassembling privacy shelter Loading some more.. Loading.. Backed miele vacuum bags up truck to where the Pissoir was located – too heavy to carry! Plywood that was under the Pissoir is damp, but fortunately due to rain and not leaks. It’s heavy. Pissoir loaded up onto the truck Almost there. Liner supported by pieces of wood going across. One more push. In other places we may have been getting strange looks. Not so much in Phnom Penh. They’ve seen it all. This was on one of the side streets, avoiding the law. This gentleman, who did not want his identity revealed, had a unique array of English expressions: “Oh my god!” and “Oh yes”. Flying through the city Alex on the other end of the camera. It was a good tour of Phnom Penh, atop a Pissoir Pissoir and Gloria Jeans Coffee Liner held up very well over the two weeks, tho became miele vacuum bags cloudy in areas where it was in contact with water. This was reversible – cleared up when allowed to dry. Pissoir and the Intercontinental Hotel Pissoir on Mao Tse Tung muy, pee, bay Unloading at Live & Learn Unloading at Live & Learn
