Every citizen has the right to decent work and a steady job since he can politely to live the message of the United Trade Unions of Serbia on the occasion of the International Day against precarious maid service jobs. Due to globalization, today in the world, but also in Serbia are more temporary, part-time, insecure jobs and contracts, says chairman of the Industrial Union of Serbia Dragan Matic, adding that the goal of unification of these workers to collectively fight for their rights.
The union says that unsafe work, in fact, means uncertain life and why unions need to intensify activities and oppose the reform law, which, as they say, facilitating the occurrence of precarious maid service jobs and the reduction of workers' rights. Insistence on collective bargaining, campaigning and making maid service alliances with other social movements in the fight against precarious work must be the basis of trade union work and action, say in the union.
